So we have found a place for Zach to live in Normal by the Campus. The College life begins for him. Being there with him on Wednesday reminded me of  when I was in College and how important it is for a young person to experience that culture.

Zach and I went to a used book store in the Campus Downtown area and just browsed around for awhile and he understood the fact that he had never done that before and that it was an interesting experience. How many used book stores are there in suburban Frankfort, IL? He started to understand the "higher learning" experience and the larger experience.

We sat in a Campus coffee shop and had drinks. He took in the ambiance of the coffee shop and  could see him thinking about spending time here and studying here and socializing here. He really got it and I could see that the anticipation was making him happy. Nice to see the happiness on a 19 year old son.
